Customize Widget
Colors, theme, messages, quick questions and hours: all the widget options
Customize the widget so it fits your site. Everything happens in Widget → agent's card → Settings, with the live preview next to the form: you see every change even before saving it. When you save, the changes reach your site by themselves when the page reloads.
Appearance
- Primary color: choose from the presets or enter a custom color
- Position: bottom right (default) or bottom left
- Bubble icon: Classic, Round, With Text or Send
- Avatar: pick from the gallery of preset avatars or upload your own image (with cropping)
- Theme: Light, Dark or Auto (follows the site's theme)
When to use the Auto theme
Use Auto only if your site has both light and dark themes. Otherwise pick Light or Dark.
Behavior
- Welcome message: the first message visitors see in the chat
- Placeholder text: the text in the input field
- Call-to-action text: the label next to the bubble (max 50 characters; leave empty to hide it)
- Teaser message: the phrase above the bubble that invites people to chat (max 100 characters; leave empty to disable it)
- Pre-filled questions: quick questions visitors can click — up to 8 questions, maximum 4 active at the same time, 40 characters each
- Auto open: opens the widget by itself when the page loads, with a configurable delay from 0 to 30 seconds
Reply hours
From the widget's card you set when the agent is operational on this channel: Replies 24/7 or custom hours with time slots per day. Outside those hours the agent doesn't reply to widget messages.
Security
Allowed domains: the list of sites where the widget is allowed to work, one domain per line. Empty = all domains. Recommended: enter your domains, so no other site can use your widget (the check is enforced by our servers).
Advanced: custom CSS
The widget lives in an isolated Shadow DOM: your site's CSS can't reach it, and the widget doesn't touch your site's style. For style tweaks use the Custom CSS field in the settings: it's injected inside the widget and sanitized server-side (external URLs and @import are blocked).
Widget status
The Widget Status switch turns the chat on your site on or off at any time, without removing the code.
